Tess is awesome. She has been our dog walker since we adopted our 70-pound hunk of love about 6 months ago. She has also stayed in our home to watch our dog when we've had to go out of town and couldn't bring him with us. Tess is dependable, and a great communicator - she responds quickly to appointment requests and sends you messages and pictures to let you know your dog is happy, healthy, and safe!

We were repeat customers of Tess's services as she had house sat for us the week prior when we were out of town. During that week we never received any updates about how the dogs were doing unless we first initiated the conversation. Despite that experience, we asked her to stop by around 8/9am and noon to let our 2 dogs out today since we had already met with her and the dogs knew her. We negotiated on a price and she said if we paid in cash she would do it. My plans had changed for the day so we were not going to need her for the afternoon visit. We asked her to stop by the house around 8/9am and she arrived at 10:30. We know this because we keep a camera in our living room, a camera that she was notified of before we agreed to hire her. The camera shows her coming into our house, walking to the bar where we had told her the money was and then leaving. She did not even take the time to let the dogs out to pee much less walk them. When she was asked over chat on Rover if she walked the dogs she said that she had walked them earlier that morning, but she came back later because she forgot the money we had left her. When I told her that the camera had been on all day and her grabbing the money was the only thing the camera captured, she admitted to not walking the dogs and offered to bring the money back. When asked to verify that she had not walked the dogs she confirmed so we asked her to return the money. She brought the money back within the hour. She was very nice when we met, but she can't be trusted. We now question how well she took care of our house and dogs during the week we were out of town because we didn't keep our camera on in the living room. Since she was going to be staying in our house, we didn't want to invade her privacy so we removed the camera. We do not recommend Tess to care for your animals.
