Experienced vet tech and dog lover

Pet care experience

Welcome to my profile! I have been a veterinary technician for more than 4 years and have managed professional boarding facilities alone. I am experienced with all types of dog personalities and ages and can provide safe, reliable and FUN care for your fur baby. I am happy to provide basic grooming like baths and ear cleaning, medication administration and any other special accommodations you may request. My husband and I both work from home so there is always someone around. and my husband works from home, which means we are always able to provide care for your pet. We have one 3 year old, who is happy to play with your dog and understands personal space but we can easily have them stay separate if you prefer. The little one goes to school during the day 8a-5p. Most importantly, I LOVE all animals and will love your baby like my own while you are away. I look forward to hearing from you!

Tess was amazing with my 3 cats. She came in, and got the job done right. She goes far above expectations, and is such a passionate animal care taker. If I ever need her again, she is the one to call😊 I can't thank you enough for everything you did!

Tess did a great job with my two 6 month old kittens. She was very patient as they were shy at first. She let them have the run of the house especially at night which they liked. Her little girl liked them too. They liked it there and they were reluctant to go in their carrier to come home.

Tess is absolutely amazing! I can’t stress enough how anxious I was to leave my 1.5 yo Rosie for almost two weeks, but Tess made the entire experience a breeze. She really went above and beyond in making sure that our baby was well taken care of while also keeping us updated on how our Rosie was doing. My husband and I already are planning on asking her to watch Rosie and our other dog when we go on our next vacation! Tess is the cream of the crop and I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is of top importance to me as a sitter because I know it’s so hard to leave your baby with anyone but you! I will have an in depth conversation about your pet prior to their stay (are they a runner when the door opens? Are they scared of thunder or fireworks? Are they territorial of anything like their crate or food?). These questions help me identify potential problems BEFORE they occur and create a safety plan to avoid any issues.

Information Tess C. would like to know about your pet

I think it’s important to just be honest with me. I am not afraid of difficult dog personalities - I’ve seen it all! If your pup is nervous in new places, tell me so I can start with a small secure room and help them feel safe before exploring. If your pup needs nonstop ear scratches, let me know so I can be providing them! Let me know how they behave on a leash for walks, if they have separation anxiety, and any other important or unique quirks!

A typical day

We lost our beloved family dog a year ago, and are not yet ready to adopt again. So we love to have your fur babies around! We miss the energy! I have a background in dog behavior and training, so helping your dog practice some commands with positive reinforcement is a great way to keep their brains stimulating. We’re also a pretty active family, so if you are comfortable, we love adding your dog to our nightly walk! If you have a particular smart dog who needs extra stimulation, we can play hide & seek games with approved treats, or several dog puzzles & Kongs or lickmats I have on hand. I want your dog to return to you HAPPY, tired & even better behaved!
