Hey there! One of the greatest things I appreciate about animals, dogs specifically, is the look they get in their eyes when they're trying to understand what you're asking of them. Most dogs get underestimated, when they're actually quite smart, even devious creatures, who thrive when you challenge them. I am absolutely an animal person - my goal is to start a rescue barn - and time spent with a critter, whether furry, scaled, or feathered, is never wasted. From a young age I've been surrounded with animals, living in a household that had 3 cats, 4 dogs, a 75 gal fish tank, 2 horses, 1 goat, 1 chinchilla, and a bird. Living in such house where the critters outnumbered the humans gifted me with the opportunity to truly learn how to care for animals, how to see their tells & signs, and calm reactions to situations. Right now I am blessed with two dogs of my own, Tex, a 120lb German Shepard Mutt Mix, and Ronin, a 90lb Lab x Pitbull (we're not certain which of the breeds).
