Pawsitive Vibes .......

Pet care experience

I have been around dogs and horses all my life. I discovered Dog Agility some 24 years ago and have traveled all over the US with my dogs competing. My dogs are recently retired and now we are enjoying more time at home. This gives me time now to provide a safe vacation home for your pets. I know the stresses of leaving your pets behind but I can assure you your dogs will be the one on vacation here. They will be very busy here from playing in the 1/2 acre yard or going for walks in a quite neighborhood. I will keep you updated with pictures and short video's through out their stay. They may even learn to go through a tunnel. I can give meds if needed and also have experience in Raw Feeding. While the dogs are not allowed on my furniture or bed I do have plenty of dog beds throughout the house. If they are little dogs and are cuddlers I have no problem letting them cuddle with me on the couch. I'm a licensed Massage Therapist for the past 24 years and have taken courses in Canine Massage. Dog breeds that I have owned have been Dalmatian, Siberian Husky and Schipperke and mixed breeds. I currently own 2 Bordercollies.

Cannot rave about Terri enough. I have been bringing my dog to her for 2 years and my dog sees her house as a second home.

Terri watched our husky again for two weeks this time and took such great care of him. Definitely will use again in the future.

Our Boston terrier Duke has stayed with Terri twice now. Both times we received pictures and reports that he was fine. Terri is an experienced dog handler and has given us advice about our rambunctious 1 1/2 year old boy which is welcomed. We haven’t had a pup in a long time. She is prompt answering our texts, close to our house and we trust her with our boy Duke. Much gratitude giving us piece of mind when we are out of town.

I live on 1/2 acre that is completely fenced (double fenced all way around) and also have the sides fenced in as well to have separate areas if I need to separate dogs. Dogs will NEVER be left unattended when out in the yard. I will always be outside with them or on the porch. Kiddie pools available to keep dogs cool during the warmer months. My yard is well maintained and secure for the smallest of dogs. My dogs are friendly and are use to having visiting dogs. I'm very careful as to who gets to play with who. As far as mixing dogs I'm very careful and watch for anything that might be a trigger for rough play or aggression. Some dogs/breeds would prefer to play with me instead of other dogs so I watch for that as well and happy to throw them a ball/frisbee and or a good game of tug. I hope you like what you have read and seen. If you feel I'm a good match for your pup just shoot me a text and we can get a Meet and Greet set up. Looking forward to meeting some fine new pups.

Dogs MUST be Crate trained. This does not mean they stay in Crates. But they will need to be crated when I prepare meals, away from the house and at bedtime. Are they on a Special diet, Medication? Are they a toy hoarder? Do they have fears of anything like Thunder/Lightning? 1) I require a copy of an up to date vaccine records and or Titers. Should your dog stay with me I like to have your Vet info available should there be an emergency. Best to take your dog to the Vet that knows your dog and their history. Never had an emergency but I like to be prepared just incase. 2) Dogs must be crate trained. I do crate dogs when no one is home. You can bring there favorite bed or I can supply one (beds are all washed after each visit). 3) I will not accept dogs that appear to have a Flea issue or any contagious symptoms. Please understand this is for not only the "well being" of my dogs but any visiting dog as well. I do not have an Flea problem here and I don't want one either. I know summer is tough here and Fleas thrive this time of year but I take all the precautions to maintain a Flea free environment. Thank you for your understanding of this matter.

A typical day

If you dog is high energy.... GREAT I have a huge assortment of toys from Frisbee's to Balls to catch. May even learn to run through a tunnel while here. If your pup is more laid back no problem they can relax in one of my extra big turn out area's or hang out on the oversized porch that has 2 ceiling fans to keep us cool. Kiddie pools are now in use for pups to cool off....no worry I'm pretty dog savvy so they will not get over heated.

I still work part time 3 days a week (usually 3 hours a day no more then 4) I'm up at 7am get everyone out to potty. Then we have some play time and cool down before breakfast. Dogs that are not high energy I can feed after morning potty breaks. I have 3 separate yards so everyone can get out and play. NOTE: Boarding rates are not actually based on Nights stayed but what time you will pick up on the last day. If you pick up before 12 noon on the last day No Charge for that day. Pick up after 12 noon on last day a Day Care rate will apply. Example: You drop of Milly on Friday at 3pm. and pick up Milly on following Tuesday at 2pm. This would be a 5 day stay. It would be a 4 day stay if you pick up Milly before 12 noon on the last day.
