I adopted my first dog as an adult in the Spring of 1993. She was very high energy, mixed breed 9 week old puppy, so we started obedience classes immediately. I was bitten by the competition bug soon after and went on to earn a championship on that dog. I have had a multiple dog household ever since 1994 and cared for my own dogs in many stages of life and health. I have had several dogs live well into their senior years and understand those challenges in caring for them. I have trained and shown dogs in three sports (obedience, agility, and herding) and understand dog behavior.

I do not have any breed preferences. I would want an owner to be honest with me about their concerns and be clear with me regarding their expectations of how they want their dog treated. I would want to know if there is any history of behavior problems, whether that is biting, anxiety, or destructiveness.
A typical day
I will do my best given the circumstances to exercise your dog during my visit in the way that is most appropriate for that dog - walking, jogging, fetching, even learning tricks. A well-exercised dog is a happy, less anxious dog.
