Enjoying Nature and Friends

Pet care experience

We love fresh air and exercise, not to mention the sites, sounds, and smells of nature so a significant part of our day is spent outside in a large, well fenced backyard and/or a walk through the neighborhood. No matter the choice of activity, safety is #1, so screening for friendly, well socialized dogs is a priority. There will likely be at least two or three other dogs to romp with (but no more than six to help maintain a homelike atmosphere). If your dog needs their own space, that's OK too as I incorporate the security of safety gates, movable fencing, and (X large) crates. If I need to leave dogs unattended (2 - 3 hours maximum per day), I separate all dogs and an indoor security camera helps monitor activity. I ask that all dogs be updated on vaccines and flea treatments and throughout the stay, I regularly update the humans (including photos). For all new clients, I ask that a standard contract be signed that covers any damage/harm your dog may do that Rover does not cover. For an alternative to boarding, I also offer traveling care/housesitting (references are available upon request). An address verification is necessary to determine travel distance and if you are within a 4 mile radius, there is no added Service Fee. Additional services include: Daycare, drop-ins, extended stays (with discount), pick up/drop off (outside 4 mile travel radius negotiable), and cat care. * Seniors and puppies are welcome. * Meds are OK (check with me first). * Non spayed/neutered pups are OK (be sure to let me know upfront). As I begin my 13th year of professional dog care, with over 300 FIVE STAR reviews and numerous long term, repeat clients, I am delighted to offer experience, knowledge, compassion, and dedication.

Terrall is simply the best. We always know our Daisy is in great hands! Terrall is an excellent communicator, and very understanding. We’ve used her multiple times and will always be our first go to. When our flight got canceled and we were scrabbling to figure out when we could get home, she quickly put us at ease that, at least on the dog care front, we didn’t need to worry. Thanks again!

Information Terrall D. would like to know about your pet

It is very important that I be informed upfront of any 'high maintenance' (out of the ordinary) issues and/or behaviors the dog(s) might have. For example: Excessive barking/whining, destructive, poor recall/runs whey approached, etc. This is key to the success of the stay for all concerned.

A typical day

Regular exercise is key to a successful stay, so walks (in a natural setting) while on lead and/or play time in the (large/fenced) backyard is a big part of our day. You are welcome to bring your dog's bed/blanket, a favorite toy, and special treats. Any written instructions (for feeding, meds, etc.,) are recommended. If special walking gear is needed (harness, gentle lead, prong collar) please include it. FAQ: * Is this my full time work? Yes. * Do I accept dogs who are aggressive? Rarely (Under certain circumstances, I might - ask me for details). * Do we need to all meet first? Yes. (I do make exceptions under certain circumstances - ask me for details). * Do I own my own dog? No. * Can you view my home before booking? Yes, just ask!
