I am accepting new clients again!!! I have not been accepting new clients for 2 years because I was too busy with all my regulars. After a few moved away, some doggy parents got promoted to remote jobs, and a few more older pups crossed over the rainbow bridge. I now have some availability to meet new friends! If you want your baby to come stay with us you can be sure that they will be treated like our own. They will have free roam of our house. We live in a two bedroom house in the La Mesa/college area on canyon with a huge yard and large patio. It is fenced and completely safe! Just a little about my family! My husband Tony has recently changed careers from a regional chef to a carpenter! He wanted more time Home with the family and he now has an awesome schedule and will definitely be involved in loving on your pups while you are away! I work from home part time For a marketing company in addition to working for Rover! I have three children in my home. I have an almost 2 year old, 5 year old and also a 16 year old step daughter who is with us nearly full time. All of my kids are absolute animal lovers and love meeting all the new dogs and playing with them. My step-daughter is a master fetch player and has been known to make friends with even the shyest of animals. Her favorite thing to do when we have an overnight stay is to sleep on her pull out trundle on the floor so the doggies can snuggle with her all night(she has a very tall bed). BE WARNED: my two young boys will love your fur babies to death!! They already have such a passion for animals and want to be involved with helping take care of any visiting pups in anyway they can. They are never rough in any way but they will definitely be in their personal space. They love giving/getting lots of hugs and kisses on the face. They have even been known to nap on the doggy beds with our doggy friends. My family stays home mostly since it is just easier with two little ones. We do leave here and there but never for more than a couple hours at a time on the weekends. During the week the only time i leave is to drop off/pick up kids from School. If you have a dog that may not do well if I leave for a short period of time they may not be a good fit. The point of you hiring us is to give your sweet baby companionship while you are gone not to just leave them alone the whole time you are gone. We are very serious about trying our best to not leave the pups alone for more than a couple hours a day at the most. We love walks, and dog parks and playing in our yard! About this sitter: I have lived in San Diego since early 2014. Moved here from Nashville, Tn where I lived for 9 years. I got about halfway though a nursing degree when I started contemplating working with animals instead since I am so very passionate about them and have wanted to work with them for as long as I can remember. That is how I got into Rover originally. My life took a little detour and I had to put my passion aside to raise my children. Having small children isn't exactly the best time to start a new demanding career working with animals so I thought this would be a great opportunity to be around animals more until my children are at an age when I can focus less on them and more on going back to school. We have 3 dogs! One is very very old and lazy. All she wants to do is sunbathe in the backyard for hours. Your pup wont even know she is there. My other two are playful and have a ball hanging with all our visiting friends! Why I love dog sitting One of my favorite things about dog sitting is that we get to meet so many different animals and build relationships with them! They have so many different personalities just like people and I love learning their individual quirks! My absolute favorite thing is when I have watched a dog before and he comes back for a visit and is excited to see me! I love the way that makes me feel! And I know the doggy parents love that their baby is excited to see me instead of sad that they are leaving! I have many repeat visits so I am able to really get to know each dog and grow to love them like my own! My husband and I definitely adore dogs but we love animals of all sorts! We both have experience with cats and dogs. Additionally, We have experience with reptiles, birds, and fish and could care for them on a case by case basis. We have owned all three at some point in our lives. We love all animals and get so much joy from being around them! About my yard Large Fenced yard on Canyon. Plenty of space to play and run around! We also have a large patio area which will help file down doggie nails when they run around on it!
