I send text messages every day to the owners. I have been caring for other people's dogs for approx 7 yrs now. I love to watch their personalities come alive. And their personalities are unique to each dog. I talk to them like they were my child. I presently work for a no-kill cat shelter. I have been associated with them since 2010. In the beginning I just volunteered my services. Today I work for them a couple of hrs a day in the early am. Feeding scooping cleaning medicating when necessary and I give a daily report. I also worked at the vet office located in the same bldg the no-kill cat shelter is. I was with the vet's office for 2 yrs. I handled the animals that were being boarded there. I fed walked medicated when necessary and cleaned the dog runs.kept accurate cage sheets through out their stay. The vet's office is no longer open 7 days a week and due to their downsizing I was laid off. I pet sit on occasions for people I know and dog walk a couple of sets of dogs per week for people I know. That should not interfere with any services I would provide for Rover client's. Each dog is so uniquely individualized that helps me read the dogs to provide the best care I can give them. Some like catching and returning balls. Some only catch the ball but do not return it giving me even more exercise while playing with them. My availability varies depending on what my days look like with any personal animal Care jobs but I would be able to adjust schedules if necessary. But for the most part I'm pretty available to care for Rover client's dog's. I can supply references if needed.
