About Bristol

Bristol is pretty low key and if he's comfortable he'll sleep a lot. He does play hard/wrestle with Knoxville. Even though he's littler, he's the "boss" of our two dogs and Knoxville will usually follow his lead when it comes to barking! He has some separation anxiety in a kennel and will drool and chew up a blanket or bed left in there, but he doesn't eat it.

  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 2 years, 2 mo. old
  • Weight: 23 lbs
  • Breed: Beagle, Chihuahua & Rat Terrier
  • Tracking Chip: Yes
  • Neutered: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
We have a doggie door, so they go outside as they please to use the bathroom!
  • Gets along with children: Yes
    *Within reason.
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
  • Gets along with cats: No
We have a cat, but I wouldn't say they "get along." Our cat is old and SHE doesn't like the dogs. Our cat has a room where her food, water and litterbox is and we keep a baby gate up so she can have space. She comes out every once in a while, but they wisely leave her alone.

About Knoxville

Knoxville is the clown of the family. He's always up to play, but when he gets excited he can be like a bull in a china shop because he's clumsy! We are still working with him on not jumping up or pawing. He will chew or eat anything so it's important that things are kept picked up and that he's supervised. He's ok with a kennel, but is used to being allowed on furniture and the bed to sleep, which can be challenging as he has no concept of personal space. He wants to sleep right next to you or ON you. Sometimes he snores.

  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 1 year, 9 mo. old
  • Weight: 50 lbs
  • Breed: PitBull Mix
  • Tracking Chip: Yes
  • Neutered: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
Both are trained to doggy door. They go out as they please.
  • Gets along with children: Yes
Knoxville is much more tolerant of children than Bristol. My 4yo rolls all over Knoxville and pesters him often. The only thing I worry about Knoxville is when my son is chasing him in the yard I'm afraid Knoxville will knock him over! He's like a bull in a china shop -- especially when he's excited (which is often).

Special Requirements

Knoxville is a chewer so he needs to be watched pretty closely to make sure he is only chewing on things he's supposed to!
