Pet care experience
I am enthusiastic, patient, and loving with pets. During the week, I am an elementary school counselor for Fairfax County Public Schools. I am available for overnight care in my home or yours on the weekends and can also support with drop in visits and walks throughout the week. I have a sweet cat named Leo who has been around both cats and dogs and usually warms up pretty quickly, though sometimes wants to play more than they do. :) I would love to get to know your pets and give them the love and care they need!

Teresa was excellent with my large, often anxious, cat Sherlock. Upon my return I found a happy Sherlock with none of the usual stress symptoms. Teresa also communicated frequently and sent photos of all the snuggles and other antics Sherlock got up to each day. It was great to see my cat happy while I was away!

Teresa has watched our dogs twice and we felt they were in great hands both times! Teresa sends lots of pictures so we know our dogs are healthy and happy and she is super flexible with scheduling. We highly recommend her if you need a dog sitter!
Teresa is amazing with pets and people. She has kept my dog multiple times for up to two weeks. The dog is always sad to say goodbye, and excited when she gets to visit Teresa again. They've gone on hikes, beach trips, walks, and runs. I know my pup is well cared for with Teresa. Even though I don't ask for photos (flip phone life), Teresa still sends a few to my email of them exploring. Ten out of ten recommend.

A typical day
I love walks and cuddling! I also love hiking on weekends so can go for longer adventures with your pet if that's something they love too. I'm also happy to stay in and cuddle and read together. I want to get to know your pet and what they love to do and we can make a fun day based on that as well.
