Pet care experience
I have been pet-sitting professionally for over 7 years. I have had dogs stay at my house, and I have also gone to clients' houses to care for their pets. My family owns a Boston terrier, and I have been taking care of her for years. I have also owned cats and hamsters in the past. I have extensive experience walking, feeding, and bathing pets, as well as playing with them. I have always loved animals! I can't currently have any pets of my own in my apartment, so I love to get to care for others' pets.

I can't currently board pets in my home. At other people's homes, I am very cautious and keep gates, doors, etc. closed (according to the preferences of my clients) to prevent the possibility of a pet escaping. I am also in the habit of holding onto leashes tightly during walks. When I am staying in my clients' homes, I supervise the pet as much as possible and love to play with the pets and give them lots of attention and affection. First and foremost, I always follow the lead of the owners' wishes!

A typical day
I will play with your pet in your home, in your backyard, and at parks based on your living situation and your preferences. I love to play catch and tug-of-war with dogs. I also have fun with chill dogs who just want someone to sit next to them and give them constant pets.

Availability
I am currently on summer break as a college senior and living in New York as an editorial intern. I will be working from approximately 9 AM to 3 PM on Mondays and Thursdays and 9 AM to 5 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My internship office is in Midtown but I may be working remotely some of the time, and I will have breaks, so if a client's place is nearby, I could drop in during lunch. Outside of my internship hours, I have no other commitments this summer and can devote all my time to clients' pets.
