Pet care experience

Hi y'all! As a fellow dog owner, I spoil my pets a lot. Treats, walks, toys, dog parks, covering them with a blanket when they're curled up because for some reason I think they're cold? I know they're not cold, but it makes for a cute picture. As a Rover worker, I'm super flexible to what you or your pet needs. If you're strict on treats, I'll take note. If your dog needs extra time or support, I have experience with that. If your animal has a lot of energy, I can keep up. I'm here for you and your pup (or cat, if any cat owners need drop ins). I know what it's like to leave your animal in another's care, and I'm here to provide support and peace of mind. I can provide as many pictures and updates as needed. When I'm with your pet, it's my priority, and that's all I'm doing. I myself am an anxious person who is the type to research 15 different dog food types before making a decision or write out any information someone may need. As such, I will make sure your pet is taken care of. I've always had pets in my family, and I have experience with every stage of a dog’s life. I currently have a 12 year old Boxer that I've cared for since she was five weeks old. My partner has a 8 month old standard Poodle being trained to be a psychiatric service animal but is also a ball of energy. So, I can engage a puppy and wear them out with running around the house and the yard, or I can excite a senior dog with rubs and toys and a gentle walk. If you’d like, we can have enrichment exercises and food puzzles to work their brains, not just their bodies. I have experience with various breeds, as well as various sizes. My Boxer has a sensitive stomach, so I understand the woes of feeding animals well. I've also dealt with sprains, bee stings, medication, post-op care, etc. I hope you find the best care for your pup! Let me know if you have any questions!

I cannot recommend Taylor enough for any of your pet sitting needs! I've been friends with Taylor and her pup Harley for around three years now, ever since we met in college. During that time I've learned how reliable and friendly Taylor is; she's always eager to lend a helping hand! Taylor has owned Harley since she was in high school, and cared for her all throughout college and after. Harley is a very well-behaved and pampered pup thanks to Taylor's training and loving attention! You should rest assured that your pooch will be in good hands with Taylor!

I have known Taylor for over three years now and she is a fantastic friend and very trustworthy individual. One of my favorite things about getting to see her is getting to enjoy the company of her dog Harley!!! Harley is one of the most well mannered, cared for, and loved dogs I have ever seen. Taylor puts the care and love of animals before all other concerns when the need arises, and is one of the best pet owners/caretakers I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Taylor has been a great friend and wonder dog sitter in the past. She loves dogs and probably one of the only people that has been able to keep up with my Boxer Corgi. My dog is always excited to see her and I feel the the love for animals while watching her play with him.

Taylor has taken such good care of my fur babies. My poodle will hardly makeup with anyone and she took almost instantly to Taylor. All of my animals, 2 dogs and three cats, love her. She is great walking them, playing with them and keeping them safe. I highly recommend her as you cannot find just anyone who is so dependable and great with animals.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard and plenty of different activities for engagement available. If your dog is food motivated, I have training bites. If your dog likes solo play, I swear I have every dog toy imaginable (soft balls, hard balls, plush, rope, ones that rattle, ones that crinkle, ones that squeak….and so on).

Information Taylor Y. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know as much as you can give me! I'm treating your animal as my own. I want to know how they eat, what things they eat, if you let them chew on sticks, if you allow them on furniture, if they pull on the leash, if they're nervous about people petting their butts, if they need extra encouragement to potty or if they have certain phrases they respond to. This is by no means a checklist, but a reminder that I want to be as involved and efficient as possible, so think of the everyday things you do to care for your pup that I may not be privy to otherwise.

A typical day

When I walk dogs near my house, I always take the routes with the most grass and less car traffic. I'm all about playing with toys: rope, stuffed animals, squeakers. I have all of them laying all about my home, so nothing is really off limits here. I have multiple comfy dog beds, as well as furniture, if my client allows their pets on the furniture. I love to curl up to a pup after they have been super active and need a nap. I always have fresh water out, and I'm pretty good at sensing when a dog needs something.
