When You're Away The Pup Shall Play
Pet care experience
I have had had 4 fur-children in my life: 2 overtly personable Golden Retrievers, 1 minimally-howling Beagle, and 1 severely anxious, but loving, rescued Rat Terrier. I've completed training classes with all of them, and have loved our years of hiking and camping and exploring together. I have lived in all climates and love walking in rain or snow or shine. I am a very scheduled and structured person and know dogs thrive on routine, but they also need tons of love and affection and there is always time for a cuddle. I am incredibly reliable and trustworthy, with no criminal background. Having hired dog-walkers or pet-sitters before for my own fur-kids, I know how hard it can be to leave them and hope to not be a stranger to them or you for long. Looking for requests on M-F between 8am-5pm. I am also very comfortable with other animals if they are in the home. **I am open to the possibility of scheduling weekend walks/visits, but my young child would be with me (in stroller/hiking backpack for outings)**

Taylor is probably one of the most responsible persons I know. She grew up having dogs as pets and as soon as she was old enough, rescued a terrier on her own, and now has a Golden Retriever. Taylor is VERY conscientious. She is physically healthy and strong and can handle dogs of all sizes. She also has a medical background, has attended dog training classes, but mostly she has a tremendous amount of common sense. I totally trust Taylor to care for my pup and highly recommend her for Rover.

A typical day
Let's explore! I love to hike and run, especially with a fur buddy, or even just walks around town for some exercise and fresh air. I'm a big fan of dog parks for socialization and frisbee/ball/stick toss, though I have had dogs in the past that do not enjoy being off-leash around other dogs so will discuss that with you before going. Mental stimulation is important as well and one of my favorite games is hide-and-seek with treats/toys, in your home or backyard, or casually working on basic training commands.
