Pet care experience
Since I was about 5 years old growing up in North Carolina, my family has had or been around dogs. My wife and I moved to San Diego in August 2022 and are loving exploring the area and beaches with our 9 year old pup Shadow (she is some sort of a collie mix). I used to pet sit regularly in DC before I had a full-time pup of my own, but realizing that Shadow really misses a companion so looking to go on walks or dog sit for both of us now.

Taylor took excellent care of our pup Ace who struggles with anxiety and being away from us. She constantly kept us updated with pictures and gave us a great peace of mind while we were away from home.
Taylor and Brittany were wonderful with my pup Luka. They sent lots of pics and took him on walks and hikes and dog park outings multiple times a day. They clearly treated him like part of their family. They were also very flexible and understanding when my flight home got delayed nearly 24 hours.
Taylor was so good with our Remi! She took excellent care of him — taking him to the beach, the park, and giving him all the walks and cuddles. He had a blast and we would definitely love to have him stay with her again in the future! ?
Taylor was the most fun, responsible and caring host for our dog. She took her on hikes, beach trips, playdates with other dogs at the dog park and gave her tons of cuddles and attention while we were away. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving home for their dog.

We have a single story home with a fenced in backyard space where Shadow likes to sit during the day. Your dog would have free reign of our home, though we don't typically allow dogs on furniture/bed (Shadow is a bit too senior to try jumping up there, anyway!) If staying for an overnight, we welcome your own beds/toys to make the stay more comfortable as well.

A typical day
We go to the Morley Field dog park nearly every day since it is so close. On the weekend, we typically go to Coronado Dog Beach or try to explore an easy-to-medium trail nearby and take advantage of the good weather. Excited to learn some new spots your dog may like too!

Availability
I work from home on east coast hours (5AM-2:30PM) so I will be at home all day and have a flexible schedule in the afternoons. We typically go on a long walk each afternoon to the dog park nearby. I am interested in meeting a pup that we could have a weekly walk with more regularly, or open to pet-sitting weekend gigs as well. My wife has pretty regular hours and is home around 5PM.
