Dog lover and proud owner

Pet care experience

I’m a 26 year old in leadership development and have a friendly calm dog of two years: a beautiful double doodle called Toast (that’s a golden doodle labradoodle cross). I have a car so can pick your pooch up if it's an awkward distance away. I'm very confident with handling dogs and picking up on any slight mood changes to understand what they need. I have experience working with a behaviourist in the past which has given me lots of insight. For the more active dogs I’m a big advocate for mental stimulation games and love to play them with the dogs in my care. I have had lots of experience looking after dogs with lots of different needs, from very fearful to completely independent. I understand how important it is to have a dog sitter who understands how dogs work. Big fan of positive re-enforcement and patience with all dogs. Before Toast I had a pet called Jay Jay, a little Tibetan Terrier who I looked after until he was 16 so I'm well versed in looking after dogs of all ages. The longest I have been without a dog is 6 months of my life! I absolutely love animals which is why I thought I’d sign up to Rover. It’s been really helpful when I’ve needed a dog sitter and I want to be able to share that gift with other dog owners who might struggle to find people who can look after them. I live near lots of greenery and love being active, so your dogs would be well walked. I'm quite hands on and my garden is also a good size to run around in. I work part time and from home so it’s easy for me to dedicate a lot of time to your dogs. I already look after my own dog so it fits well into my routine. I am always around so your dog never needs to be left alone. I am flexible to your dog’s requirements, whether that’s crate training, on or off the bed, multiple walks a day or run around in the garden. My house and garden is secure and I live opposite a very dog friendly park with a great community of dog owners.

Taylor was amazing. She kept Crystal full entertained throughout the stay and took her really last minute as well. I received lots of photos of Crystal and think she preferred staying with Taylor than me! Her and Taylor's dog got along really well; they went on lots of walks and played a lot too. Taylor was very flexible and accomodated my wishes for Crystal to sleep in her room gladly. I'll definitely be using Taylor next time!

Information Taylor T. would like to know about your pet

It’s important they are well socialised with other dogs and happy to relax around them as Toast is very chilled out. Any special requirements I need to know I.e walk times, feeding and dietary requirements, their temperament, how they are on and off the lead, whether they are allowed on furniture etc.

A typical day

There are lots of parks near me to explore, especially because I have a car. We often go to Gunnerbury Park but Acton Playing Fields is just opposite me and that has a special dog area which is always empty so they can run around off lead. I have lots of dog toys and love playing fetch and tug of war. There's a tennis court opposite the dog park so we have a growing collection of tennis balls that Toast's stolen! I'm starting agility work with Toast soon so would happily try and teach your dog a couple of tricks if you like too!
