Hello my name is Taylor, and I currently attend Sinclair for American Sign Language Interpreting. I worked at a doggy daycare for a year and a half and it was the best job i have ever had. I have 3 dogs of my own ranging from 125lbs to 34lbs. I have rescued all my cats including my most rewarding cat Mr, Juan. He was found behind a shed at about 2 weeks old very sick and infested with fleas, the vets told me to prepare for the worst. He lived his best life for 4 years until we had to put hin down due to catching pnemonia. I prefer to house sit in others homes because it gives the dog more sense of control. If your dog is not used to being left alone typically sending them 1 to a different environment and 2 a stranger can cause some unnecessary stressors. I like to try to meet the dog at least once or twice before staying so they know I'm not a total stranger if time allows. Working in a doggie daycare gave me a lot of new knowledge of animal behavior and training, so if you have a puppy or a dog in training i would be more than willing to help out and maybe give some tips!
