Quality Dog Time: Walks with Love
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Taylor. I am an experienced, friendly, energetic, caring Canadian dog walker and sitter, and I can't wait to befriend your best doggo pal! I have dogsat in England, Canada, USA, and New Zealand and I worked for two years in a doggy daycare centre in Montreal where I earned my Certification in Dog First Aid through DogSafe Canine First Aid (as of November 2020). I have extensive experience with senior and disabled dogs as my last dog, Mama Hippo, had arthritis, hip dysplasia, and significant mobility challenges. She required injections which I administered monthly. I grew up with two Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers named Camey and Shreddie along with a West Highland Terrier named Nutmeg - so I have plenty of experience walking multiple dogs at once!! The dogs I have cared for as a dogsitter in the past include Ziggy the Italian Greyhound/Boxer-Mix Rescue, Abby the Boxer, Lucy the Yorkie, Conan the Italian Greyhound, Ollie the Coton de Tulear, Maggie the Great Dane, Tekia the Westie, Bentley the Pit Bull, Eevie the Pomeranian, Mia the Chihuaua, and Ruger the Labrador Retriever. I am more than happy to provide further references upon request. I live in Hove with my partner and our friendly rescue dog Bailey. I am available throughout the week as well as on weekends. We live in a first floor flat in Brunswick Square a short walk to the seafront. As a Master's studies student currently working on my thesis, dog-walking and dog-sitting helps keep me active. Dogs bring me so much joy, and I am grateful to have been able to find ways to enjoy quality dog time here in my new home of Hove. I love to send updates of our time together, so you can expect to receive frequent photo and video messages throughout your pooch's time with me! Please contact me for any further information on services I can provide and let me know if you would like to arrange a Zoom Meet and Greet before booking my Rover services. Looking forward to connecting with you and all the exciting pawsibilities ahead! **Please note: I typically only accommodate pups who do well with being around other dogs. If your dog struggles with other dogs, let me know and we can see if we can make something work. Thank you for your understanding!** **My rates can be flexible. I’d like to accommodate other dog lovers and be able to make something work 💕**
Reviews
Taylor was extremely communicative and took great care of Ronnie. Very happy to recommend
Taylor is an outstanding dog sitter, and went above and beyond to ensure Rocco was comfortable and happy. The communication was excellent, sending me text and photo/video updates throughout the day and responding quickly to any questions/updates from my end. As a bonus her lovely dog Bailey and Rocco got on really well and had lots of fun playing all afternoon as well as being walkies companions. I highly recommend Taylor, her knowledge, experience and attention to detail is second to none.
Taylor is the regular dog sitter to my girl Billy and there is no doubt that she is the best. She's attentive and caring, gives my dog plenty of exercise and treats, and communicates clearly and often to let me know how things are going. Billy is also on daily medication and Taylor has never had any issue administering it. Basically, I never worry when my dog is in her care. The fact that she sends a ton of lovely pictures as well is just the cherry on top! 100% recommend!
Taylor has been fantastic, sending updates and photos throughout the day. Poppy loves it whenever she gets the chance to play with Bailey and always comes home happy and tired.

SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT: In trusting your beloved pooch with me, I am committed to providing the utmost safety, care and comfort for you and your pooch during the time I am hosting. An initial consult conversation - in person, over the phone, and/or video call - is helpful in clarifying my living space and surrounding environment (i.e. urban, flat, nearby park, etc) to discuss whether I am the best fit to host your dog. I believe in positive reinforcement dog training as informed by evidence in Animal Behaviour and Applied Behaviour Analysis that involves compassionate treatment. Consistency is important, so I'll ask you to let me know what commands you have with your dog so I can use them too!

Information Taylor R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs to be mindful of during our time together. Things I appreciate knowing about your dog: - if they are spayed/neutered - any allergies or health concerns - personality, i.e. active, easy-going, vocal, sociable with other dogs, cuddly! - behavioural quirks, i.e. leash tendencies, food motivated - what to avoid, i.e. food on the side of the street, other dogs, cats, skateboards/cyclists, etc - behaviour and commands that you are working with them on that I can reinforce during our time together I would appreciate you bringing a toy and/or blanket for your pooch to make them feel more at ease at my place by having some familiarity/home comforts.
A typical day
Together, your best doggo and I can explore the city, go to their favourite parks, and enjoy the beautiful fresh air. I believe an active dog is a happy dog - all of course within the abilities and needs of each animal!

Availability
SCHEDULE: As a graduate studies student, I work from home throughout the week and love having doggos around to go on walks with for a brain break and have a snuggle on the couch between meetings. I am committed to being attentive and present with your pooch while we spend time together and love when they make a special guest appearance during my Zoom meetings. At the same time, since I am currently working on my thesis, I can accommodate lower-energy dogs and dogs that enjoy a good run around outside at the park who are then content to nap/take it easy at home for a few hours to allow for some solid, focused study time.
