Every animal is my best friend.

Pet care experience

Hello I am Taylor, but I prefer to go by Ellie. I am 28 years old and am currently working at a clinic as a Veterinary Assistant working on becoming a Veterinary Technician. I have always had a deep love, and passion for wanting to help animals my entire life. I recently have lost over 160 pounds and have really gotten into walking around my neighborhood and nearby parks. And started to think that the only way this could be better if I had some fun dogs to walk with me. Enter Rover! I originally signed up with the intention of being a dog walker but have found a good place in pet/house sitting. And am so in love with every animal and I have met through this experience. I have background working as a dog bather in both a chain store such as Petco and Petsmart, as well as a local grooming salon. I spent three years of my life in that environment and learned a lot about the handling and care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. Being around so many different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and in a high anxiety area like a grooming salon I have learned how to approach and handle nervous, skittish, and anxious animals safely and calmly. To ensure all are well taken care of and safe and secure. With me now working in an animal hospital I am becoming even more familiar with how to care for the animals I am around and sit. I am currently animal CPR and first aid certified. I have experience giving injections (subcutaneous and IV but I would prefer not to administer IV unless talked about in depth prior) and oral medications. Both time sensitive and not. I stand firmly by the fact that pets are members of our family. When your pet is with me I will always treat them with the same love and kindness I would show to any of my family members. Your babies will become my babies and that is always my promise.

Taylor "Ellie" was awesome! We have two puppies that are both over 100lbs that can get a little rambunctious, as puppies can, and she handled them great for a whole week. She stayed in contact with us the entire time with updates and photos. When we got home there was no sign she had even been there except our dogs were healthy and happy. She left us a sweet note for when we got back home, and made sure to let us know if we had any questions or concerns to let her know. Would highly recommend her! Such a great experience.

We can't say enough good about Ellie. She came to our house twice to meet our reactive dog, and although we didn't end up leaving him with her, I really appreciated her patience and willingness to make him comfortable. She watched our older dog, Wolf, and our two cats and did a great job. She was responsive and texted updates, which I appreciated very much. I would definitely recommend her, and we hope to have her stay with our fur babies in the future.

The kids loved being at their own home and were given lots of love. So nice to not have the day to transition after we all have been away. Very appreciative.

Ellie was so great! They showed up on time and provided lots of loves for Sam. When we got home we could tell our pets were happy and well cared for. Our home was left clean and secure. I would highly recommend using Ellie!

Safety, trust & environment

Your pets while in my care will be treated as my own. They will be my priority and my responsibility. I take pride in knowing I am good with animals and will do anything and everything I can to make them comfortable and safe in my care. Being away from family can be hard on them, but I will spend my time making sure that they know I am thier friend and they are safe and loved with me.

Information Taylor N. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any dog aggression or food aggression your dog may have. Just for the safety of your pets, and any pets that may be near us should we be out walking. Is your pet current on all vaccines? Does your dog have any special needs I need to know about that could be an issue. Your dogs normal temperament or if they have any anxieties or fears I may encounter. Any recent surgeries or injuries that would be relevant to me taking your dog out. Has your pet ever bitten or caused any harm to a stranger. How does your dog react to new people or new environments. I don’t have any specific breed preferences, I am a big fan of bully breeds.

A typical day

Based on what your dog needs I love getting out and walking and spending time at a park. I dont usually do off leash in public areas as I want to ensure the safety of your pets. I like to keep a distance between any animals I don't know. So if a walk in a safe area and off leash isn't avaible at a park safely, playing fetch outside or just running around playing in the yard. And then coming in and getting all the love they could want.

I work full time at a Animal Hospital between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm each day. I do have hour long lunches that I will use to leave and care for your kiddos. But I do also know certain pets will need someone more available. I do my absolute best to make my days fit around their schedule and most importantly their needs. And may be able to make some small exceptions but I can't always get that figured out. I like this to be known first and foremost as I want you always to have the best possible person with your pets. And though I know I offer amazing care I do know some pets and parents need more availability.
