I have 8+ years of professional and volunteer experience with animals in veterinary clinics and animal shelters. My 2+ years as a kennel attendant at an animal shelter have given me specialized knowledge rarely found in any other animal caretaker. Most of my dogs there took a while to warm up to people and were often dog and stranger reactive. While I am not a licensed dog trainer, I will provide love and support for your animals, assisting you in their socialization and doing everything in my ability to keep both your pet and myself safe. Of course, the happy-go-lucky friends will also be loved. You can rest easy knowing they're in capable hands. My work in vet clinics and animal shelters also means I familiar with many medications and treatments. I am comfortable with both oral and injection medications. During an emergency I stay calm and collected, ready to provide any immediate assistance. While I have professional experience with dogs, cats, and rabbits, I have also owned birds, rodents, and reptiles in the past. I've always loved my animal friends, but decided to dedicate my life to them in high school when I started volunteering for my local animal shelter. Nearly 8 years later, I'm finishing up my Bachelor degree at UBC and continuing on into companion animal research to better our pets' lives. When I'm finished with school or hanging out with your pets, I have a senior bunny and a hyper cat to return home to.
