Pet care experience
I have been around a variety of pets all my life, ranging from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and birds! I have worked at two separate doggy daycares, and I am currently employed as a manager at Ames Pet Resort. In May 2022, I received my BS in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University. As of May 2023, I have completed certification to become a dog trainer specializing in obedience and behavior modification from Highland School for Dog Trainers.

Taylor was amazing!! She took care of our cat for about 3 weeks, and she was excellent at communicating with us regarding his condition. She was punctual, did everything we asked for, and was very reliable. We'll definitely contact her again if we need to travel again!
Taylor was great with all of our animals! This was our first time having someone other than family take care of our fur babies, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went. She sent pictures every day, and was very kind and accepting of our kitty’s anxious behavior with strangers. I will definitely be using her services again ❤️ thanks again Taylor!!

Taylor was great! Needed a check in for my two girls while I was on spring break, she was super diligent with instructions! Took care of them and gave them lots of cuddles :)

A typical day
I am able to provide enrichment for dogs physically and mentally. This includes walks, fetch, and mental stimulation such as puzzle games or snuffle mats.

Availability
I have also done volunteer work with the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, gaining experience with animals who haven’t been socialized and in some cases were feral. I am educated on many different breeds, energy types, behaviors and special needs that your pet may have. I work with dogs and cats on a daily basis, and have three cats and a dog of my own! I am able to pick up on warning signs that dogs may display, and know the steps that need to be taken to deescalate iffy situations! I would love to meet your pet and create a lasting bond with you and your family!
