Pet CPR Certified / Vet Nurse

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m Taylor (also known as “Allie”) and I am a Pet CPR-Certified Veterinary Nurse. I’m known as “The Cat Nurse” and have a website following my rescue work and fostering under the same name (.org). I have 22 total years of experience with animals, including raising and caring for personal pets, volunteering at humane societies, rescuing and fostering, managing and caring for feral cat colonies, being a veterinary nurse, completing a year of veterinary assisting school, and creating a kitten sanctuary / non-profit rescue. I received my Pet CPR certification from Animal Behavior College, and I'm currently working towards earning an Associate’s degree in veterinary technology from Ashworth College (my third degree in progress), and I'm planning on applying to veterinary school upon completion. I graduated in 2015 from ASU with a B.A. degree in French linguistics and a B.A. in creative writing. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from puppies to senior dogs. I spent the last year and a half working as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital and I absolutely love my career. I get to spend time with animals and take care of them every day! Whether I’m assisting in a surgery, drawing up vaccines, or simply weighing a new puppy, I am always patient, kind, enthusiastic, positive, and hard-working. I have also spent years raising kittens (as young as 2 days old, if abandoned) and fostering / rescuing feral cats. I’ve spent the last three years taking care of one feral cat colony in particular called the Riverside Cat Colony. My fiancé Jerry and I have also started a non-profit called Dahlia’s Kitten Sanctuary for abandoned neonatal kittens. I have great personal hygiene; I am a cleanly person (as in, I won't make messes in your home and I will clean up after puppy/dog messes), and I am not squeamish around animal bodily functions (yes, I pick up poop!). In the event of something happening where your dog needs medical attention, I can provide first aid and transport your dog to the vet for immediate care. I love dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes! I have experience with various breeds/ages/sizes/medical needs (from pet sitting and from my career as a vet nurse). Edit: I am currently available each day of the week, morning through afternoon. Thank you for your consideration -- I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)!

We really good lucky finding Tayler. She was great with the dogs and they loved her. She really knows how to spoil them lol. I will definitely use her again if she available. Thank you Taylor.

Taylor does a great job taking out our dogs and walking them. They really seem to like her which of course makes it easier on me and not having to worry. I would highly recommend her as she is prompt and enjoys spending time with our dogs.

Allison is amazing!! My boyfriend and I traveled for the first time together this past weekend. Our pups have always had one or the other at home, never the both of us at the same time. As a result, anxiety kicked in. I was so nervous leaving and worried about leaving my pups behind. Allison to the rescue! Meeting her the first time put all my worries at ease! She is so calming, understanding and experienced. All the concerns I had she addressed and made sure I knew the pups were in good hands. The next time we travel anywhere, she will be the first person I call on!! ?❤?

Allison clearly an animal lover, and will go above and beyond to make your pets feel loved while you’re gone. We are thankful for how well she took care of our kiddos!

Information Taylor E. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preferences (although I do love German Shepherds, Great Danes, and Chihuahuas!). Before sitting for a dog, I would like to know a few things about them: what their personality is like, what commands they respond to, if any, what their diet is like and feeding preferences (if applicable), what games they like to play, what destructive behaviors to watch out for (if applicable), if they have treats or special toys, and any other rules that they must follow (not allowed on the couch, etc.). I love little dogs and big dogs too!

A typical day

I love to walk and play! I can do everything from a short brisk walk to a long several-mile exercise walk. I can play games like fetch and tug of war. I can take care of dogs who have special requirements pertaining to their physical fitness and medical or dietary needs.
