Caring for Pets as I Do My Own.

Pet care experience

Hi, thanks for taking time to review my profile! EDIT: people keep asking, so I guess they aren't seeing the vaccination card in my photos section—yes, I am vaccinated! 2ND EDIT: I am insured independently of Rover up to 1,000,000 in liability coverage and more. Your pet will be protected in my care, you can be sure of it (whether boarding or sitting). I've provided animal wifery services since 2017 (with Doggy Lama Pet Care, Wag!, Rover and personal clientele). I grew up with dogs, my first being a sweet German Shepherd (this dog was already in the house when I was brought home from the hospital, and I had a pet—dog, cat, bird or rodent—every year between then and 18. I have no pets of my own currently though, which helps me accommodate a wider range of clients. I have an air filter in my home and outdoor astro turf on my balcony for dogs to take potty breaks on if the need is urgent between walks for any reason. (But they'll get 3 walks/day, that's my standard 👍🏾) I work from home, and my partner will help care for clients as well, as they have years of experience with at-risk, traumatized (and non-traumatized) pups too ☺️ I leave to walk two dogs (2-3 blocks away from me, so not far at all) and will spend 2 hours away from clients, but no more than that without prior notice. I maintain a clean, allergen-free space for the dogs I host and take every measure to do so when house sitting, though folx don't always have filters and the most effective pet care supplies (things get incredibly expensive, so I totally understand). And to clarify, I have a long balcony with pads (and I'm getting astroturf) that has ample room for exercise—so if you're looking for a sitter with a conventional yard, I'm not the best choice!

Taylor was an amazing dog sitter to my baby! I was gone for 5 days and it was my first time leaving him with somebody I did not know and I could not have made a better choice than Taylor! I got multiple updates a day along with lots of pictures and and videos showing that my baby was having a great time she even added more walks than usual to make sure he got all his puppy hyperness out! I definitely do recommend her to be your next dog sitter if you want your pup to have an amazing time while you’re gone!

Taylor was perfect for boarding our mildly quirky dog. We'll definitely be booking with them again for our longer stays!

taylor provided excellent care for my dog during his stay with her! she was communicative throughout the booking and boarding process, making sure that we were both on the same page. i also received tons of photos and videos of my dog so there were no surprises when i picked him up and he was happy and healthy. i would absolutely recommend taylor to a friend and plan on booking again soon!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, I will be more than happy to provide reasonable accommodation for your fur family member. I have cared for elder dogs along with dogs that have special needs of all kinds :)

A typical day

I love providing ample exercise and structured play for animals in my care, thus building the bonds of trust required for healthy and safe playtime in all environments (especially outside of the home). We don't go to parks the first time I sit/during the first few walks, as it is usually difficult to determine whether or not the dog (or any other animals present) will behave erratically (since it is a new situation we lack precedent for). After we bond a bit (giving the dog food, earning/developing trust on walks, using your recommended binding techniques given the dog's experience, etc.), the probability of the dog's disobedience diminishes and the likelihood of a peaceful walk increases.
