Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Taylor and I am a student at the University of Tennessee. I have had dogs and cats my whole life and have 4 years of pet sitting experience with other people's pets. I have met the unique needs of service animals, senior pets, rescues, and purebred dogs. I have owned and cared for high-energy breeds such as huskies, malamutes, rottweilers, retrievers, pitbulls, and shepherds. I am capable of administering oral and topical medications and will work to accommodate any injuries or disabilities your pet may have. I also have experience as an animal shelter volunteer, where I cleaned kennels and exercised cats and dogs. I have a toy poodle named Daisy who lives with my parents back home and a cat named Theo who lives in Knoxville with me. Both are spoiled rotten! I know right now is a difficult time for many pet owners as we transition from working from home to returning to the office. Let me help you with your transition. I am available for drop-in visits and dog walking services Monday-Saturday. I would love to meet your fur babies and keep them company!

Before booking, I would like to know your dog's size and temperament or behavioral issues. I will not walk or sit dogs who have aggression issues or are over 100 lbs. If your pet is too out of control, I will ask that you come pick them up. I also ask that all clients provide collars and leashes for their pets. Walking locations must be no further than 10 minutes from the home. For cats, I also ask that the owner inform me of any behavioral issues/illnesses. I have a cat of my own so if your cat has any transferable illnesses, please let me know before booking. *IMPORTANT: IF YOU OR SOMEONE IN YOUR FAMILY HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS OR HAS BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A WALKING/DROP IN VISIT. *IF YOU ARE DROPPING YOUR PET OFF WITH ME OR IF YOU WILL BE HOME WHEN I PICK YOUR PET UP, PLEASE WEAR A MASK.
A typical day
I am an avid hiker myself, so your dog would be able to enjoy long walks through nature at Ijams Nature Center, Suttree Landing Park, or other nature centers in the Knoxville area. I can also help your dog let out pent-up energy through games of fetch in your yard or in nearby parks. As for cats, I would love to spend time cuddling with your cat or encouraging them to play with toys. Cats get lonely too!
