I’ve been training dogs for seven years and have loved them all my life. I’m currently working on speech button training with my pups. When your buddy is with me, feel free to let me know any training issues you’d like to work on. I use positive reinforcement methods to help little friends develop good puppy manners. My daughter and I enjoy meeting new dog friends and getting them out for mini adventure walks. Engagement between dogs and kids can develop social skills needed for different environments. If your dog is not kid friendly, that is completely fine. Regardless of the dog and their needs I’m always happy to help where I can. Taylor was absolutely wonderful! she notified us as soon as she got to the house and kept contact with us throughout the whole time we were gone. she sent pictures, and texts about our dogs time with her. She also left a detailed, very kind note about both of our dogs. she showed concern and compassion and left the house spotless!

I actually have two locations where my dogs stay on weekdays. In Frederick there is a fenced yard with an available crate if needed. There are also tie outs for any skilled jumpers. In Thurmont there is a smaller property directly next to a large field we use for play time. Also a short walk to the dog park. I generally prefer using front lead harnesses to avoid pulling/choking and have an available crate and baby gates on different levels. To avoid resource guarding I usually separate any people or dogs during meal time and keep toys and treats away if not under direct supervision or separated. I keep “stop that” spray with me when any dog is staying with me. It delivers a quick burst of air and calming scent nearby for when doggies have disagreements. Luckily it has never needed to be used.

Generally take walks around my neighborhood, Baker park, Loys Station park, and boarder creek farm. Hiking near Catoctin mountain park is one of our favorites.

I’m currently working part time in downtown Frederick. I’m available most weekends and weekdays after 1:00pm. I’m fairly flexible, although I prefer to plan ahead for longer visits and travel.
