I Like Big Mutts & I Cannot Lie

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Taylor, an experienced dog owner & lifetime fan of the four-legged. I’m hoping to find families looking for devoted & excellent care for their furriest family members. I'm adventurous & energetic, & have a great sense of humor - all qualities I’ve found help tremendously when caregiving. I love to be outside so there’s no question we’ll be taking lots of long walks & maybe a trip or two to watch sunrise on Sullivan’s. Bigger dogs are my favorite, they have such personalities, but I’ve also cared for my share of little ones. In addition to caring for a number of other family’s pets, I welcomed a rescue lab into my family about two years ago. She’s the light of my life & such a good girl!

We had a great experience with Taylor. Appreciated that she took the time for a meet and great before we booked to make sure our dogs were a good fit. After meeting her and her dog Georgia (a very sweet and mellow yellow lab) we could tell our dogs would be well cared for and felt very comfortable leaving them with her. Taylor sent messages and photos daily and responded promptly to our communications. She was also flexible when it came to drop off and pick up times. We highly recommend Taylor and look forward to booking future stays with her and Georgia.

Safety, trust & environment

As a dog owner, I've set my home up to be an inviting and safe place, not only for my own dog but for yours as well! Your pet will always have access to fresh water, safe toys, and a clean & comfortable place to play and rest. I value prompt and open communication and frequently send updates with photos. If you're interested in boarding your dog with me, I recommend coming by for a meet and greet to see the space and meet Georgia (my dog) and me. In order to keep your dog safe and mitigate any potential risk of injury or illness, we stay away from dog parks.

Favorite activities & destinations, quirks, fears, favorite treats - whatever you've got to share with me. I have to know your pup well to love them well!

A typical day

A typical day will start around 7 am with a big stretch and then a short walk. We'll do breakfast and then gear up for a longer walk. Upon our return, we'll hydrate and find the perfect spot for a snooze. I find most pups love the sunroom. Mid-day, we'll take a pee & play break and then head out for another long walk in the evening. In the hot summer months, I'm mindful of temperature and keep longer walks to early morning or late evening. Dinner is usually served around 6 pm and then one last pee break before bed around 10! While this is a typical day for me and my dog, I'm more than happy to accommodate a custom schedule.

As a local, small business owner, I work from home most days so it's fairly easy to arrange my schedule to be there for your pets when needed. Not to mention, that mid-day walk brings the most welcome break during a busy day of clicking away at my computer.
