Tayga was a wonderful caregiver for my two pups. She was an excellent sitter in all facets. I highly recommend her!!!

While Tayga is a very sweet girl and took great care of my 2 dogs while I was out of town, I would not recommend her for housesitting or being in your home while you’re away. She did leave my house clean, but violated my privacy and really did not respect my home or property. Several major violations of trust and privacy: 1. She went through my closets (I’m not sure what else) to borrow my vacuum to clean out her RV. This is problematic because: a) she didn’t know where I kept my vacuum so I have no idea how many closets or other personal spaces she went through to find it: b) I’m pregnant. Cat litter is potentially toxic for pregnant women (toxoplasmosis). Now there is likely toxic litter in my vacuum cleaner dirt container that I’ll have to find a way to safely clean out. She admitted to using my vacuum… which I knew before hand that she has located and used without asking because I saw it through my ring cam. It is never acceptable for a dog sitter to go through my things to then use something of mine for personal use without asking first. Such a violation of privacy and lack of respect. 2. She lives in her van/mini RV, which she parked in my driveway during the stay. She plugged her RV into my house to run her appliances off of and cool her RV for her cat - none of this was discussed in advance. I saw from my ring cam she had plugged it in to the side of my house and asked her to unplug. This was actually against my HOA policy and could have caused me to get fined. The RV was plugged in for approx 48 hrs before I mentioned it to her. She told me she had just plugged it in to run the vacuum which was a complete lie - it had been plugged in over 24 hrs before she ran the vacuum. So…. I was paying her to stay and my house and then she also caused me to pay more by stealing my electricity to cool her RV for her cat and to run her appliances. 3. The final straw was nearly a month after her stay, I went to take my trash to one of my two outside bins. In the second bin that I do not usually use, I found a lot of loose trash (not in a bigger bag) from her RV. There was goop from something that leaked and loose cat litter that AGAIN is toxic for me, a RV water filter, cat food cans. I had to hose down and clean out the outside trash can because she doesn’t understand how to properly dispose of trash. It was covered in maggots from the food in the trash. Nice girl. Just not mature or responsible or respectful enough to be trustworthy to stay in your home.
