Loving home, fenced yard
Pet care experience
Any dog in my home becomes an immediate part of our family. My family and I love to cuddle and play with dogs and truly enjoy having the extra love in the house. We have two toddlers who giggle wildly while playing fetch or giving treats. We’re very active with our own dog, and love to take him to dog parks to socialize! Wally is always looking for a friend to play with, and plays nicely with dogs of all sizes - from a 4lb Pomeranian to a 90 pound Bernese Mountain Dog. I have provided short and long term care for dogs of varying needs. I was entrusted with a good friend's dog for nearly two weeks who had just had significant surgery a day prior to being left with me. I take a lot of pride in dog ownership, so I always ensure I have what any dog may need (such as medications, poop bags, treats, food etc) to be sure they're well cared for and are successful.
Reviews
It was my first time leaving my dog with someone and I was quite worried but Tawny was amazing. Very patient, sent me lots of pictures and was very flexible. Handled my dog with a lot of love and grace. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Tawny provided a safe and fun environment for my dog. She was friendly, professional and respectful in all our interactions, which helped make everything go smoothly. Our dog came home happy and tired and was excited to see Tawny and her dog, Wally, when we returned the next day. Such a good feeling to know our little buddy was well cared for in our absence. Thanks, Tawny!!
I can tell my pup was well taken care of and had fun with Tawny and her family. He came back healthy happy and looking great! Thank you again
Tawny was great! Super flexible with drop off and pick up and our pup loves hers. Ollie came home very happy ?

I have a fenced yard, and a very friendly pup to keep your fur baby company. I can accommodate any dog regardless of crate training. I have baby gates everywhere so if the dogs need time apart for any reason, it’s easy to keep them separate.

Information Tawny H. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences. A meet and greet is always required before we can commit to watching your dog. Any dog that comes to our home would have to be friendly with other dogs and children. I would need to know what negative behaviors they exhibit, how they show anxiety, and what kinds of treats they like! Anything that you might be able to offer regarding things that make them comfortable, or anything I can do to help them be successful in my home.
A typical day
I like to walk around the neighborhood, but also go through the nearby park which has an off leash area! If your dog is off-leash reliable, playing outside is great. If it's rainy, connecting your dog with a fun brain game can be super stimulating. I also love to just sit and cuddle with dogs who are smaller, older or prefer to stay at home.

Availability
I work East Coast hours, so I start early and end early. I work a flexible schedule entirely from home, so I have lots of capacity to keep pets company, or be mindful of potty cues.
