Pet care experience
I have 12 years of experience with pet-sitting where I'm actually caring for other peoples animals but have a lifetime of experience being around dogs and cats and caring for my own. I live in Bowling Green, KY with my husband, our dog Tank, and our 3 daughters (7,3 & 3). We’re a family of animal lovers and love being able to give my kids the experience of being around animals. I have worked in dog boarding/doggy daycare facilities and absolutely loved the work I did and all the time I got to spend with our four-legged pals. I learned a lot working at doggy daycares, like how to socialize dogs, pick up on good and bad dog behaviors, keeping a schedule, being organized, and patience because every dog is different and some need a little more time to acclimate than others. If you choose me as your sitter you can be sure your pet will have lots of playtime and lots of love! Your dog will have supervised play time in our yard multiple times a day. I'm home pretty much all day so there will be around the clock supervision inside and outside. :) PLEASE NOTE: I do have small children so your pup(s) must be good with children. Also, I frequently board up to 2 dogs at a time so your pet must be friendly with other dogs, big & small. This is important so everyone can have a fun & safe boarding experience! Tavia took good care of our dog Luna, but my partner was not fond of the handoff. It took her a long time to come to the door, and my partner could hear her dog barking like crazy and then when she did open it, her kids were holding her dog back and she opened the door just enough to slip Luna out, then slipped my dog bowls out and shut the door.

When your pet stays in my home they’ll be fed according to their regular schedule and be let out roughly every 3hrs. I do have an unfenced yard so your pup will be leashed up to a 30ft outdoor dog lead for safe & supervised potty/outdoor playtime. Whenever I plan to leave my home your pup will be crated in my own XL dog crate or your crate (if one is provided) to ensure your pups safety when not being supervised. Dogs are never left alone for more than 2-3 hours, if I do leave my home. Walks offered upon request. I typically send 2 photo updates a day, one being in the morning & one in the evening, if you’d like more please let me know! When caring for a pet in the clients home I will do everything based off their instruction and what the pet is used to.

A few things I like to know about potential guests are: Is your pet crate trained? Is your pet housebroken? Friendly with kids & other dogs? Can your pet have treats or bones? Has your pet ever shown signs of separation anxiety?
A typical day
I typically start my day at around 7am. Any pups staying with me at that time are let out right away for a morning potty break & fed breakfast. Then regular potty breaks every 3 hours after that. Depending on weather we may spend more or less time outside. Your pup is then free to do whatever they wish, snooze on the couch or play some fetch, it’s entirely up to them! Around 6pm is when I give dinner. Walks offered upon request. If your dog has a more specific schedule please let me know so I can stick to it to make things easier for them!

I’m a stay-at-home mom so I’m home all day most days and that makes it easy for me to care for others pets and give them plenty of interaction and playtime. I can easily change my schedule to fit the needs of our furry guest which comes in handy especially if a pet requires medications at a specific time. You can ensure your pet will have around the clock love and care!
