Hi! I’m Tatum, I’m a lover of all creatures and a NAVTA certified veterinary assistant. I received my certification through East Valley Institute of Technology. I’ve spent time working in various animal clinics, a mobile grooming company, and have spent many hours volunteering at numerous animal shelters. I have experience administering various forms of medication, including injections, oral, and topical medication to dogs and cats of all temperaments and sizes and have worked with animals with an array of illnesses and ailments. I would have no problem applying this if your friend should need some extra attention on the medical end of things (without an extra cost, I’m happy to do so as long as they are happy and healthy in my space). I separated from the clinic and grooming atmosphere because I hated being the “bad guy” to the pets I treated and groomed. My heart could not take the euthanasia cases and hurt friends in the clinic, as well as anxious dogs I would receive through grooming. I am so grateful for having found Rover as I’m able to continue to pursue my passion in loving on animals while creating a comforting environment for them, rather than working with them in a setting that is uncomfortable and scary to them. It has been such a blessing to take dogs and cats into my home and work towards making my apartment a home away from home while I get the opportunity to spend time with them, because animals and their happiness are my top priority, and I treasure every moment with even the most difficult of pets. I will always adjust for any friend’s needs, and I have loved every single animal that I have taken on thus far. It has been my life’s purpose since I was a little girl, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to love on these animals as if they are my own, even if only for a few days. I work part time at an establishment five minutes from our apartment, I choose to spend all of my lunch breaks at home to unwind with the furry friends and ensure all of their needs are met. Also, my husband works fully remote and would be home with them at all times, he helps out with potty breaks throughout the day and would give them all the attention while I’m at my day job. He loves the company of the pups so it’s a win-win. I strictly take only one client at a time, they will have the place to themselves. This is only to ensure that they are in a safe, controlled environment where I can focus on them and only them!
