I started taking care of dogs and cats when I was eleven years old when my family adopted a shelter dog and a shelter kitten in 2011. In 2017, I helped care for my partner's elderly cat, Molly, until she passed of kidney failure. In 2018, I began fostering neonatal kittens and puppies for the Oakland SPCA and the Hayward Animal Shelter. I volunteered as a foster parent for 8 months until I moved away for college. My partner and I adopted one of our foster puppies, Algie. I volunteered for an animal shelter near my university for 4 months, then was hired at a different animal shelter. I spent 8 months feeding, watering, cleaning, making sure they receive vet care, fostering, and socializing animals in preparation for finding them their forever homes. During my time there, my partner and I adopted Lola. I have experience boarding dogs. I boarded my friend's shih tzu, Bella, for 3 months, while my friend recovered from financial hardship. I also boarded a neighbor's shelter dog, Sugar, for a week. Both were senior dogs. I have also cared for special needs animals, besides neonatal babies. I fospiced an elderly poodle, Marcos, with kidney failure. I am currently taking care of my two dogs and occasionally dogsitting my high school friend's young dogs, Scooby and Chorizo. I love all animals so dearly. I am an animal advocate and practice veganism out of my adoration for all animals.
