Former Labrador trainer who can help
Pet care experience
You’re not getting a dog walker, you’re getting a former dog trainer. In 2012, I volunteered to learn how to train Labradors for the blind. It was a 6-month experience done completely out of the love for dogs. I learned to teach dogs how to sit, stay, lay down, leave and the very important, heal so that dogs can walk nicely on leads. I believe in positive reinforcement using a clicker and treat/toy and constantly learning from an online community of dog trainers. My current work situation now, I’m a secondary school teacher available during weekends and school holidays. I’ve always loved working with dogs of all breeds and currently work with Flo, a Labrador puppy and Scamp a 2-year-old Springer Spaniel. Both high-energy dogs that required lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Since working with Flo, I’ve managed to get her to walk nicely on the lead which makes so much more pleasurable for owners. To keep Flo stimulated, I’ve started to teach her gun dog level fetch. To wait and fetch only on command in ponds, rivers and the sea. Flo’s mother has seen lots of improvement in her behavior. My time as a house sitter has matched me with some great clients. I currently work with Richard, owner of two amazing Boxers (see photos) who is the lead rigger for the majority of touring pop stars. When he's on tour, I'm able to give good quality walks for Reggie and Roxy, sending daily videos of our walks and progress in training we've made. I've also been a good handyman to him, completing simple jobs to maintain his house. Going the extra mile, I often take dogs on camping trips as I love exploring and hiking. It's an amazing treat for the dog and clients are always thankful. If you're looking for house sitting or boarding for half terms, summer holidays and Christmas, it's highly advisable to enquire early. It is important to me that you're 100% comfortable with leaving your pet with me. Please see my reviews and references are available on request from previous dog owners. I am more than happy to provide a DBS and driving license to verify my address on meeting you for the first time.

Tat has looked after our lovely dog twice now. We have really appreciated the effort he has given to caring for her - even doing some training with her too. We felt confident in leaving him in our home too. Thanks Tat!
Tat proved to be a really lovely person. He looked after our house and two large and boisterous dogs for 3 weeks and they were well cared for with long, varied walks and genuine affection from someone who clearly loves dogs and is loved by them in return. At the end he left the house spotless and the dogs missing him. Highly recommend him!
Tat was really great at communicating with us, as well as caring for our pup and looking after our home while we were away. Thank you Tat!
Tat was great. Very communicative and accomodating. Billy was clearly very well looked after. 5 stars
