I am available for overnight boarding and walks while they stay. Please check my calendar to see which days I'm available for boarding. I regularly go to the local dog parks in the city, take several weekly trips to Timber Creek Dog Park in southern NJ, as well as Fairmount Park. All dog park trips are off leash trips, so your dog must be socialized, non-aggressive, & respond to call back to participate in these adventures. Over my lifetime, I have been fortunate enough to have owned many dogs, cats, horses, and reptiles-but I have a special fondness for dogs. I worked as a veterinary technician for 2 years, and can attend to your dog with the attention and care you are looking for. Hours of operation are 8am-7:30pm M-F and 8:30am-6:30pm S-SU (my phone will be off outside of those times so I will not respond to messages then). Pick ups or drop offs outside of those hours will require an additional charge. Pick Up/Drop Off Services are available for a fee. Please advise prior to booking and I will add this service on for you. Your dog must be up to date on all shots and be on both Heartworm preventative as well as flea medication, no exceptions. Please be prepared to provide up to date (within the last six months) vaccination records as well as proof that both Heartworm and flea preventative are being administered. If fleas are found on your pet, they will be given Capstar and a bath AT YOUR EXPENSE. If you refuse these treatments, you must pick up your pet immediately or make alternate care arrangements as I cannot keep pets with fleas in my home as it puts other guests, and my own pets, at risk. Please provide enough food for your pet for the duration of the stay (dog food is not provided by me). I can crate as needed, so please advise if your dog will need to be crated during their stay. Dog Walks are always group walks unless the owner specifically requests otherwise. Prior to the first walk, I will conduct a meet & greet to assess your dogs nature with having a stranger come into the house. Any aggressive behaviors shown during this meet & greet may result in either me declining the booking or requesting that the owner book solo dog walks for the Pup. This is for the safety of all of my clients, as well as for myself. There is an additional charge for a solo dog walk (total of $25 per half hour). I will not walk any dog on a retractable leash due to the harm they can cause to both dogs & walkers, so please make sure there is an alternative available. I will also make recommendations regarding the leash and/or harness if the dog is pulling. If the owner cannot provide a leash or harness system that prevents pulling I may decline the booking. Please also be advised that walks are dependent on the weather, and may be postponed or cancelled due to rain or extreme heat or cold. In addition, walks may not be the full 30 minutes if your dog shows ANY signs of distress due to extreme heat or cold. Dog Boarding is always in a group situation unless the owner specifically requests otherwise. I will conduct a meet & greet at a local dog park to assess your dogs nature and to allow them to meet my own dog. During the meet & greet I will assess the dog's behavior, response to call back, and go over a brief medical history with the owner. Any aggressive behaviors shown during this meet & greet may result in me declining the booking. This is for the safety of all of my clients, as well as for myself. If a solo dog boarding is requested there is an additional charge due to it limiting my ability to board other dogs during that time (total of $100 per night and $140 a night during the holidays). I will not board any dog with a retractable leash due to the harm they can cause to both dogs & walkers, so please make sure there is an alternative leash available when you drop off your dog. Drop In Visits are an alternative to dog walks and are best for dogs that have social anxiety, leash aggression or are aging. Drop In Visits are 30-60 minute visits in the owners home to allow your dog a potty break, socialization, and play time. Drop Ins are always solo visits unless the owner requests extra socialization specifically in which case I can bring my own dog to socialize. Prior to the first drop in, I will conduct a meet & greet to assess your dogs nature with having a stranger come into the house. Any aggressive behaviors shown during this meet & greet may result in me declining the booking. My Holiday Rate is always applied for any major recognized holiday. My holiday rates are non-negotiable, so please do not ask me to adjust them back to a regular rate over the holiday. If you are looking for someone to watch your dog over the holiday, it means that I am giving up my own holiday in order to do so. I charge an additional rate for not being able to celebrate the holiday myself. While I can understand the total cost of services for your Pup may initially seem high, please understand that this is my business and my rates reflect the amount I have deemed appropriate for the care of your dog. I have a 99% repeat client rate for a reason-I treat your dog like my family and love them completely. I want my clients to travel and not have to worry that their baby is getting anything less than my 100% undivided attention while they are here. I take many photos during your dogs stay and frequently use them on my IG profile. If you would prefer your dogs photos not be featured, please let me know.
