Loves all dogs, esp the elderly!
Pet care experience
I am guardian for a fabulous rescue puppy named Penny Lane, and share custody with an older Boston Terrier these days. The below information is all still true! I was guardian to an incredible 16-year old rescued terrier mix. I cared for him through many health issues together, including a life-threatening battle which the vet did not expect him to make it through. With my care and love, he survived for an additional 8 years after his stint in ICU! I am a PhD student and taking care of animals is something I love, because the animals are incredible and it gets me outside more! Animals are capable of helping humans through so much - energetically, emotionally, and more. I have a pretty flexible schedule, as my work is still remote (as of May 2021). I do have a soft spot for elderly dogs. I have been around dogs since I was born, and enjoy them all. I do love elderly dogs, and will provide them with love, affection, medicine administration, specialized care, and compassion.

Tarah was awesome. She was always are first go to for pet sitting. Very conscientious and great with our large family of animals. Great communication and always responsive.
Tara house and pet sat for us for what must have been 3 years. We were and are sorry she left the state. Her work as a PhD candidate lended itself perfectly for working remotely and staying at our house. Needless to say we felt safe with Tara living at our house while we were away as well as sitting our pets which included 4 dogs, 1 cat, 2 desert sulcata tortoises, and 13 chickens. Brutus adored Tarah! Tarah spent part of a day with him and he was a happy, relaxed and tired pup when we returned home. Tarah sent pictures and left detailed notes about her time with Brutus. Brutus likes a lot of attention and she gave it to him! We would highly recommend Tarah to anyone... and we also look forward to hiring her again! Feeling grateful!

Knowing their eating schedule, favorite ways to play, where they should sleep (if they're snuggly I am happy to snuggle your dog!), and any medications they are on. I also like to have vet information in the off chance that something should happen. Caring for elderly dogs, this is even more important. I am also happy to set up a meet and greet!
A typical day
I love to play with dogs. If they're good at the dog park, I will take them there, but I'm also happy to take them on leashed walks and play fetch or tug in the yard!
