I have six plus years of experience as a client services director at a non-profit in support of the human-animal bond. As a social worker I worked directly with animals and clients in many situations. I have a strong sense of familiarity and affection for animals of all types, breeds and sizes. This includes experience working with veterinarians and talking clients through medical emergencies. I have experience with dog-walking, cat care, am comfortable administering pills, and following dietary restrictions. My senior rescue dog passed away in 2019 and I decided to sign up for Rover to bring the joy of animals into my life for brief periods. Before my dog entered my life I was a cat person, but after my cat passed years ago I ended up fostering and adopting my dog. One of the hardest things for me while having a special needs, senior dog was leaving my dog when I couldn't bring him along, so I understand the importance of finding someone responsible and trustworthy to care for your beloved companion animal! I have a newborn and while I search for the perfect fit for adoption I would love to have an animal in the house. I'm interested in mellow animals that would enjoy going to the dog park near my house (5 minute walk). I look forward to meeting you and your animal companion soon!
