Pet care experience
I have always had a deep love for animals and took care of a variety of breeds of dogs, cats and birds for over 15 years. I have a strong understanding of what dogs and cats need and want by being aware of their body language. I had the pleasure of learning a great deal from a licensed dog trainer in Upstate New York who owned a pet store and boarding area for domestic animals, but also had a section where he would rehabilitate wild animals if that was needed. I was an avid visitor and customer and loved spending time with the animals and watching him perform the training sessions. I am comfortable around all dogs and cats and will make their time with me comfortable and enjoyable for your piece of mind. I enjoy watching the relationship grow stronger over time, and the level of trust and comfort that comes with it. I have experience with elderly dogs that require scheduled medicine and extra care to puppies being trained basic skills and socializing skills.

Tara is an incredible cat sitter. She is so kind and attentive. One of our cats has to take a lot of medication and she is able to do it well and with love. I am so grateful for her help and will definitely use her in the future and recommend her to others.
Tara is the best! She has watched our cats many times now and takes such good care of them. I can tell she really enjoys spending time with them and giving them the attention they need while we’re away. We know we don’t have to worry about the cats while we’re away because they’re in good hands!

If there are any medical issues, triggers they may have that you were made aware of, how they react around other dogs, if there is any aggressive behavior, their daily routine, and any known allergies. If you have a puppy, they need to be potty trained to know to go outside or use pee pads. The most important thing a client can do is to be completely transparent when it comes to their fur baby, so they can get the best care
A typical day
I love to hike and being out in nature, and there is nothing better then sharing that time with furry companion. Playing with their favorite toys, throwing a ball if we are able to, giving them the excersise they need so they are more relaxed throughout the day. I always make sure they get full attention and are always kept safe.

Availability
I am available any day you may need during the week and weekend. My daily weekly schedule consists of 4 to 6 dog walks, drop in visits, between the hours of 12 -3 so anytime before or after is preferable.
