Our family loves pups. Our 2 year old rescue pup, Ferris Wheel, is a “dog’s dog”, she loves having friends in the house as visitors. We’ve looked after dogs for 10 years and are really happy to play, or relax, with your pup (depending on their personality and needs). We live in a cozy, fenced in, sanctuary in the Berkeley Hills. We are right next door to the fire trails and Tilden (we spent a lot of time outdoors with our pups). I'm gentle, responsible, and here because animals are just the best. Know that your pets will be in loving hands when they are with us. We care for your pet as we would our own, they have souls and personalities that we hope to honor. We are assiduous when it comes to safety and well-being, checking pups everyday to make sure they are happy, healthy, and in good spirits. If we see any issues or are concerned by anything going on we will let you know immediately. With this commitment in mind: we only accept longer stays for repeat clients (we want to make 100% sure your dog has a seamless transition as they stay with us). At this time, because we have an Airbnb unit right beneath our home, we only welcome pups who do not bark indoors (eg they wouldn’t react to a human on another floor that the cannot get to). Our pup: Ferris Wheel is small Aussie / retriever mix from the Family Dog Rescue. She high energy, respectful, and, as her namesake may suggest: gladly goes up and down in circles. Primary human care giver: I'm Tara, I am a woman of color, dedicated to building warm communities and happy gardens. I am an executive coach who supports underestimated humans, people of color, and their co-conspirators on their quest to build inclusive and resonant spaces. Our context: We do not rely on Rover for our financial health and livelihood, for this reason if you’ve worked with a sitter who does rely on this income to get by: we encourage you to use them as a first and us as a backup option.
