Dogs and cats make me happy!
Pet care experience
I wish that people could be more like animals. I LOVE the happiness and eagerness of dogs and the seemingly quite aloofness of cats. I have had cats most of my adult life, but only because I didn't have the lifestyle to have a dog (too much commuting). My cats were always welcoming and warm to me, not aloof. They always seem to love when I got home, and had to be next to me on the couch. Recently, I stopped commuting and dogs have re entered my life in some long term care giving for relatives. I LOVED taking the dog for walks on the beach (I live very close) and found that it did as much for him as it did for me. Being around animals just make me happy!

Wonderful!
Tara did a great job with my 13 year old corgi mix! He often looks for things to eat when out on walks and is quite reactive to squirrels, birds and mail trucks. Tara was comfortable keeping an eye on him to make sure he didn’t eat anything he shouldn’t. She left detailed messages after his walks so I knew what was going on and how he was doing. I would recommend her.
Tara was very patient with my dog who was a bit skittish (rescue). She was on time and adjusted to his needs. I recommend her to take care of your fur baby.
Tara is the best. We could not have chosen a better person to look after our cats. Her attention to detail was great. She will be our first choice when ever we need the service. ?????

I have a fenced in yard for my own 2 dogs who play well together, but I don't currently care for pets in my home. At a client's home it would depend upon what facilities there are available as well as the wishes of the client.

I would like to know your dogs age and temperament before I sit for him/her. Have they ever bitten anyone? Do they have favorite toys or treats and any dogs or people they don't get along with in or around the neighborhood. How are they regarding food? Do they try to eat anything and everything during a walk?
A typical day
Most dogs seem satisfied with a basic walk. Some dogs prefer the same route, other dogs like a different route depending upon the time of day. I generally take my cue from them as well as the client's wishes.

I am currently working part-time, and I can easily alter my schedule ahead of time to accommodate multiple cat or dog sitting or dog walking requests.
