I will bring my little kids with me (if they aren't in school) when I come to walk your dog or over for a house visit. It's a great way to get your dog used to young kids. I have a one year old, an active 3 year old, and a mature 5 year old. If you have an active dog, my kids can play with them to help get out some energy (theirs and your dog's). Or, if you have a quieter older dog, they can sit and pet him/her. I had a dog growing up, and I loved it. I would feed and water him, talk to him, and play with him. I'm not ready to get a dog of my own yet though, until my kids are older and can help take care of it. I still want them to be around animals though, especially dogs. So this is a win win situation. I'm a stay at home mom, so I can be fairly flexible with my schedule.
