Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover all of my life. My dad taught me the proper way to handle and care for dogs when I was young - he used to train hunting dogs at a local kennel where I grew up. So that is what set me up for a lifetime love of dogs. I have experience caring for other people's dogs as well as my own. I also have experience with administering medication to pets. My dog, Scout is epileptic and requires medication twice a day.

I have Tanya watch my two dogs when I'm away. I bring them over to her house and know they're being cared for well. They both love going over there and hanging out. Tanya has always been really great at keeping me updated and doing what is needed for my one dog who is epileptic and sometimes requires extra/special care. She loves the dogs like they're her own!
Tanya has grown up with dogs her whole life. She has even had her dog in the 4H program which requires discipline and much training.
Tanya has always been an animal lover, from rabbits to horses, she loves them all. However her love for dogs shows the strongest through the care of her own dogs. She's treats animals with respect and has a tendency to spoil them, within reason. She know's what humane foods they absolutely cannot have and has taught her children to respect animals as well. If I ever needed a sitter while we were out of town Tanya was the first one I asked because I knew she'd care for my animals properly.

I have a large home with a nice backyard that allows me to have larger dogs in my care. I currently have 2 dogs, a black lab named Scout. Scout is energetic and loves to make new friends and Kya who is a Basset Hound/Border Collie/Blue Heeler Mix. She is the perfect combination of sassy and sweet. I do have 2 young children - 8 and 6 year old boys, who as well are animal lovers. They are used to having big dogs, and are learning the proper ways to treat and take care of dogs.

A typical day
We like to take the dogs for a walk as a family whenever possible and enjoy having them outside with us when we are outside, or just hanging out on the couch when it is a crummy day.

I work full-time, I have my dog on a routine that works around that. I do have the flexibility to come home during the day to take them out if it is needed.
