Leave Your Leash, let’s have fun!
Pet care experience
I have had pets all my life, and dogs specifically over 30 years. At my home your best friend will be lovingly cared for and treated as one of the family! Living close to the trail, we will go for three walks a day (morning, after work and evening) and have play time in between. (I live on the second floor, so if you know your dog needs help up the stairs, we should probably limit that to about 30 ish pounds to save my back). See Instagram Account (@LeaveYourLeash) to see past visitors and the fun we get up to! I will post daily on IG (or elsewhere if you need) to ensure you can see your pup the entire time you are away!
Reviews
Tanya is a top notch pet sitter!! She took excellent care of my Rigsby ! I never had a moment of concern and really enjoyed my weekend of no responsibility
Really appreciate you accommodating us last minute, and kindly picking him up and dropping him off earlier than expected. We appreciate you Tanya 🙂
Tanya was amazing! Took great care of our anxiety dog and made her feel safe! We highly recommend
Tanya was wonderful, good communication, lots of photos. I was 100% comfortable leaving Mick in her care. Thanks again!

NOTE: I have worked very hard to ensure my beagle cross doesn’t bark his face off at all the things HaHa… While dogs bark, I would prefer a pet visitors that don’t bark all day long. :-) I will work on basic training, and I will make a point of learning your rules and training to ensure all of your hard work doesn't get undone during your pet's stay. I think it’s important to go for a walk to get to know each other and ensure you feel 100% comfortable with your buddy staying with Smith and I. It's really important to me that you feel comfortable about your pet's care when you are away.

It is important that your dog is house trained as I work during the day. I will do my best to stick to your potty schedule. Because we will be on the trail for walks, a dog that is leash trained, and essentially non-reactive to passing dogs is important. :-) I want to make sure everyone has a blast while they’re here!
A typical day
I live close to the Rail Trail, so while we will walk around the property, we will do most of our walks on the rail trail.

I am at work Mon-Friday, so away from the home for about 8.5 hours. I am home during the holidays and weekends. We will go on multiple daily walks, and have tons of play and snuggle time :-)
