I've owned cats and dogs all my life. I was raised with German Shepherds as a kid and when I was thirteen, my parents hired a dog trainer to provide obedience training for my Shepherd, but instead of training my dog, she trained me! Since then, I've carried that skill through all my years as a pet owner with my own pets. I currently have two dogs, 1 Dachshunds and a Collie, and 1 cat, a domestic short-hair. One of my pets I rescued from a pet store and the rest are rescued from shelters. I had a long-haired Calico who went blind as a kitten and I had her until she past away two years ago, so I have a special place in my heart for animals with disabilities. All my pets get along and live in harmony. I use to volunteer at the Pima Animal Care Center with my daughter as a dog walker. At times, I feel like Snow White because my animals follow me through out the house from room to room chill'n with me, especially when I do meditative yoga and lost pets somehow find me where I provide them a safe haven out of the heat and busy streets, until I can find their parents.
