Family of 4 w/ Lots of Love to Give
Pet care experience
****We are currently mourning the loss of our beloved Ringo who passed suddenly at the young age of 5. We are not taking clients at this time.**** We are a family of four who will welcome your dog into our home as one of our family. We have two teenagers who also love dogs and our own family dog- Ringo, a 120 pound 5-year-old Giant Schnauzer! So your dog will have lots of company, love and attention. We have been watching neighbor and friends dogs during weekend trips and decided to make this gig official through Rover. We have taken care of big and small dogs and Ringo does well after he fully checks our furry visitors out. Tanya has owned boxers in the past and took care of many generations of her mother's Dobermans over the years. Carlo had a few mixed breed dogs growing up and is a natural caregiver (his full-time job is a pediatric emergency room nurse). To learn more about our professional experiences, feel free to visit our Linkedin profile pages by searching for "Tanya Juarez-Sweeney" and/or "Carlo Juarez-Sweeney". **Due to a recent immune-related arthritis diagnosis for our own dog Ringo, we are currently mostly caring for our repeat dog families. We are open to new clients at this time within certain parameters. This is to ensure the safety and mental health of our own dog and to ensure your dog receives the best possible care for their needs. Therefore we currently cannot take any extremely high-energy, or highly mischievous dogs. We can't risk any extreme rough play that could cause injury to our dog (his blood does not clot well) or a dog that might cause too much mischief and stress. More importantly, we pride ourselves on taking very good care of our rover dog family, but at this time we might not be able to get long runs or walks in for a dog that requires several runs or walks in a day.** Please note: - We like to have a 20-40 minute phone chat with all new clients to get to know your dog a little better. - If you request us and then find another care provider, please do us the courtesy of letting us know and cancel your request. - We are a family- not a larger boarding business. We typically take 1 client at a time. If we know the dogs well and our comfortable with the personality fit, we will take 2 clients but no more. - Overnight booking fees are for 24 hours per fee rate. - Daycare bookings are for 10 hours per fee rate. - Additional charges may apply for late pick-ups, however, we are very flexible and will work with you to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate your schedule.
Reviews
This family is our favorite to watch Penny when we are away. Lots of love for for her and great updates.
As always Tanya and Carlo provided a great home for Tad while I was out of town. Highly recommend!!
Penny always comes home exhausted after all of the playing with Ringo and friends. Her favorite place to be!
My dog and I had such a good experience with Tanya and Carlo! Them and their family treated Tad like one of their own the whole weekend. They sent regular pictures of him and took him for excursions to play fetch at the park and walks. Couldn’t have asked for a better place and family to leave my dog with while I was out of town!!

We have a fenced yard and keep our doors open to the dogs to come and go. We play lots of fetch in our yard or at the park down the street, and enjoy walking rover dogs around our charming little neighborhood. If it is a weekend and you give us permission, we might take your dog to the Arlington Dog Park in St Paul. This depends on the weather and the current health of our own dog as he has an immune-related arthritis disease (not contagious).

Information Tanya & Carlo J. would like to know about your pet
We like to have a 20-minute phone chat with all new clients to get to know your dog a little better. Some things we may ask about at that time are: What comforts your dog? What kind of play does your dog enjoy? How does your dog behave around strangers? How about around new or other dogs? Do you have any fun nicknames for your dog? Where does your dog sleep? How does your dog tell you they need to go out? Does your dog spend time in a kennel? If so what time(s) a day? What time does your dog usually wake in the morning? What is their usual exercise routine? How often / how much / and when do you feed them? Will they try eat other dog's food?
A typical day
We take our rover dogs for 1-2 walks a day, often play catch at the park at the end of the street and to Arlington dog park in St Paul on weekends and days off. My husband is a nurse so often has days off during the week and may take our Ringo and your dog to the dog park on a weekday.
Services
Tanya & Carlo can host
Availability
Tanya has a flexible work schedule and is home part-time and Carlo has a variable schedule so between the two of us, one of us is often home. And there is always a teenager or two or several hanging around our home.
