Pet care experience
Growing up, spent summers in Mexico on my grandpa’s farm surrounded by livestock, sheep dogs, lap dogs and street dogs. Love to ride and experienced handling horses. Well-acquainted w animal behavior. Own a Shepard mix—Galilea, reformed Mexican street dog rescued as a 3 moth old puppy and also adopted a cockapoo named Pepe. Have lived around dogs my entire life—won’t go a day without one shadowing my every step. Resigned my job as teacher assistant to work my way to law school. Focused on passing my State Court Interpreter Exam in July. For fun: run marathons, don’t mind sun, rain, or snow. Naturally outdoorsy & active. Definitely don’t take commitment lightly, being trusted w your pet is a privilege. Every animal is unique and enjoy discovering their distinct personality

Thanks so much for helping us on short notice!
First week, good with my dogs, on time, cute pictures- a few hiccups (she fed my dogs without being asked- the wrong food/amounts and they had loose stools). Second week, she lost the key to my house. The house was just rekeyed- the previous walker lost it and lied about it. Tanya knew this. I had some questions about the timeline of the lost key and specifics. Questions answered, I dropped it. The key was even found! Everything seemed fine. She quit the next day citing "trust and transparency issues". When asked for specifics, she felt the discussion re: the lost key was inappropriate, I didn't appreciate her- she had rearranged her schedule and did extra things for my dogs (I never asked for either). I reminded her a lost key was a big deal- questions should be expected. If the job timing didn't work, why did you accept it? Things went downhill, and I spent way too much time arguing over why I wouldn't apologize to her after she lost my key. She said some very unprofessional things. Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend Tanya.
Tanya was amazing and took great care of my cat while I was out of town! He is a diabetic cat who needs insulin shots twice a day and she did a wonderful job with him. She always let me know how things were going with updates and pictures. I would definitely ask her to pet-sit again!
I met Tanya at the dog park while I was there with my dog. She immediately started to play and bond with my English Bulldog, Eddie. Since I’m out of town for business often, I recently reached out to Tanya when I learned she started pet sitting on Rover. Eddie LOVES Tanya and she takes care of him as if he were a little brother. I love getting updates from them having a blast on their walks or at the dog park. Eddie is my little dude and Tanya has become like family to us. She takes excellent care of Eddie and I 1000% trust her with my guy.
