Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. The oldest I was tasked with daily walking and feeding my families beagle-husky mix in elementary school, and then our blue tick coonhound in middle school. In college I adopted a weeks old black mix, who I house trained, leash trained and socialized. I took care of her through years of managed diabetes and palliative care. We added a pit mix to our family and the two dogs lived happily together for over a decade. Our big old pit is still sleeping happily in all rooms of our house. I love dogs and cats, and will care for yours like I care for my own.

Tamsen did a great job of providing drop-in visits for Duckie and Bacall while my wife and I were on vacation. She arrived promptly at the agreed-upon times and was even willing to make an extra visit after our flight home was canceled. We looked forward to her visit recaps and cute pictures. We will definitely use Tamsen again!
Sydney had a great experience with Tamsen! We were in a pinch for a dog walker and Tamsen was able to accommodate our dog walking needs with only a week's notice before the December holiday. We were able to schedule a Meet & Greet before her first visit and she asked a lot of great questions to get to know Sydney better. Sydney warmed up to her very quickly, which is not always the case with new people. Tamsen was dependable, reliable, easy to communicate with, and in our experience has a natural way with dogs. The next time we need a dog walker, she's first on our list.
Tamsen is pretty good at humans. She's even better with dogs! She gets them. They get her. Tamsen actually taught me what being a good dog mom is all about throughout the years. She's responsible, timely, kind, and knows how to speak in dog whispers. Nuff said.
Tamsen would be a phenomenal dog sitter! Tamsen has decades of experiences with all types of dogs (as an owner and dog sitter & walker), and is extremely responsible, caring (playful, and comforting), and detailed-oriented. Tamsen is comfortable with dogs of all sizes, has experience with dogs who have additional needs (behavioral, medications, etc), and truly loves spending time with pups. Any dog owner would be lucky to have Tamsen as their dog sitter, and would be rest assured that their pet would have everything they needed, from food and walks, to playtime and dedicated attention.

Love playing fetch, hide and seek and snuggling. Keen on observing the dogs needs and wants and taking cues from the dog or cat as to what activity we do next. Exploring the neighborhoods of Philadelphia, while walking, is a special bonus.
