I’ve grown up with big dogs. A German Shepherd named Rex. He was my shadow and a beloved friend. We grew and learned together. I have a love a dogs since I was a child. Their nature is truly to please you-their love is undivided. Over the years I was blessed to have a German Shepherd claim me as their very own. It was such an honor to be loved by a gentle creature. I trained and guided her to be all she could be for my partner who is in a wheelchair. I have watched the interaction between handler and dog working as a unit. Nothing is so amazing to see that moment click together like peas and carrots. I have trained my girl with the former police chief in the town I lived for a decade. She was talented and smart. I love to see the confidence being built in a young puppy. The world is so big to them. Each dog is different and I’ve had a pretty stubborn GSD of my own. I learn to listen to the dog and be flexible with training. What works for one does not always work for another. I love to add play time to bonding with pup friends. Developing their trust goes a long way.
