Tammy is a sweet lady who loves dogs dearly and dogs love her back and it shows. Tammy is deaf and uses sign language, writing or texting to communicate, but that does not affect her performance. If anything, it makes her other senses stronger. She is able to feel the vibration when a dog barks. It's cools because she uses sign language when speaking to the dogs and they pick up on it, especially when they see her often. I know it is harder for individuals with hearing loss to obtain jobs, and it shouldn't be this way. You should give Tammy the opportunity, don't let her hearing loss affect your decision because she is a responsible individual who will give your dogs the love and attention they deserve.
