I'm a longtime dog lover! I started a dog-walking service in 1991 and over twelve years grew it into a successful dog daycare. I sold that business when I became a mother, but it is still operating in Roscoe Village. I have experience with many kinds of dogs. Since selling my dog business, I became a full-time writer. I'm the author of two books and write blogs and articles. I work at home. My three children are now teenagers. Two (ages 17 and 14) live with me part-time and are also dog lovers. I live in a large second-floor apartment in Rogers Park, very close to Lake Michigan. I enjoy taking long walks with my dog and love being outside. I have reliable transportation and am very familiar with the city.

Tammy is the best of the best. She stayed with my sensitive dog who needs a lot of consistency and safety and routine. She was attentive, caring, present, and absolutely perfect as a house/pet sitter. I can’t recommend her enough and will absolutely ask to work with her again.
Tammy house sat for our dog and cat for several days over the holidays. We were VERY pleased with her service. Sent us periodic text updates with pictures. She was great, and would definitely rebook with Tammy!
So great to have Tammy at our home watching over our pet family on short notice. We really appreciate her gentle way with the dogs and cat. She followed a detailed senior supplement/prescription regime without an issue. As any pet owner, I loved the images she shared throughout her visit (one with 2 of the 3 lounging on her). Tammy was awesome! She took great care of Jilly over an extended weekend. Tammy was asking all the right questions about caring for our senior lady. She provided us with plenty of updates and Jilly came back home a very happy dog.
