Hi there, I'm a longtime dog and cat lover who nurtured one of my sweet dogs to the age of 17. I can provide walks in the mornings and evenings on often very short notice. I know what it is to want only the best for you dog and I don't take my responsibilities lightly. I know that dogs need love, but also am well versed in dog training and obedience practices. And, I am specifically trained in techniques to deal with anxious and stressed dogs. Caring for a senior dog also makes one incredibly patient and understanding of issues related to aging. For example, I chopped up my dog's food into small pieces, wet it for chewing ease, carried him up and down stairs and such. I’ve cared for diabetic animals and those who suffer from seizures. I'll care for your pet like my own. And...not to leave the cat parents out: A cat in my care is guaranteed lots of snuggles or space (depending on their preference), playtime, petting, attentively provided fresh food/water/snacks (as the owner wishes), a clean litter box, lots of attention to detail and attention in general. I also have experience giving both animals medications, and have given cats regular insulin shots for diabetes. I love animals - sometimes more than I do humans :) - and am looking forward to taking care of yours. I work from home and am happy to care for your dog or cat while home. If I do have any appointments outside the home during the day, I will let you know beforehand and ensure that it is OK for you and your pet. I have a fenced yard, but only allow animals out while I am watching them. There's plenty of space to chill in the house - which is temperature controlled, and I live less than a block from a park.
