Hello! My name is Tamara, but I go by “Tammy.” I have been a dog lover my entire life. I have no preference in breeds, and have experience caring for small breeds such as: Chihuahuas, Bichon Frisés, and Shih Tzu's, as well as large dog breeds such as: Rottweilers, German Shepherds, and Bull Terriers. Although I am not an animal behaviorist, I do have some experience and am comfortable caring for dogs who have aggressive tendencies, as well as administering medications to pets. I do not currently have my own dog, but in the past year I have started to volunteer at local animal shelters, as well as provide short-term fostering for shelter dogs to give them a break from the shelter life and learn more about their personalities so that they have a better chance at securing their fur-ever homes. I like to think of dogs as smaller (and furry 😂) versions of people. I say this because we all have different likes/dislikes, wants/needs, and because of that I feel as though it is important to respect each dog's preferences and boundaries. After all, there is no "one size fits all" for great pet care!
