Pet care experience
I have been a dog and cat lover since I was a child. I've had Beagles, Labradors, Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds and experience with other small dogs like Bichon Frises and poodle breeds. I've had calicoes, Siamese, and American mixed breeds like the two polydactyl/Hemingway cats I have now. Several of my cats and dogs were rescued from abandonment and dangerous living situations. I think pets are essential for comfort and companionship for people of all ages, and those pets deserve love and care just like they give it. While you are busy, I can provide that for you, whether you are going on vacation or just need me to come and walk or sit with your furry family during the day or at night. I have been in the workforce for 30+ years and am responsible and respectful. I work from home and can provide the care you would want for your pets, keeping them happy and healthy.

I have know Tamara on a personal and professional level for many years. She has taken in several lucky animals into their home for a loving and secure place of pet relaxation. Many people are either dog or cat people but Tamara shares the love of all animals equally. Her unconditional love of critters is very evident as Cody their golden lab is one of the most happy and well behaved pups I've seen. I would easily recommend Tamara to provide care for your animal. It is hard enough for us to leave our pets but knowing they are in good hands is a comforting feeling. I only wish she lived closer to me as I would eagerly be her first client.

Because of my size, I generally stay with large to small dogs, though for simple sitting visits to your home, I will accept larger dogs. I will benefit from knowing your furry ones' routines, for feeding, walking and playing. What do they do in their free time? What areas belong to them? Do they require any special care or considerations? Does your pet like to claw or chew? If so, what are their favorite things to use?
A typical day
At my home, if your pup is a swimmer, we'll hit the (small) pool in the warmer months. If your pet fetches, plays tug-of-war or just wants to snuggle, we specialize in all those things! Cats can enjoy any of the several scratch-and-stretch posts or kitty towers, or just laze on one of the many low windowsills. Of course there's always time to chase a toy mouse or try to catch the bird feathers flicking around from the end of a stick. If pups stay at my home, they can tool around the cozy, quiet neighborhood with me.
